Overview
Bertrand Walckenaer graduated from AgroParisTech and holds a Master’s Degree in International Business from Paris-Dauphine University. In 2009–2010, he managed Pouma Hospital in Cameroon. From 2005 to 2017, he held several positions at the Directorate General of the Treasury including export finance in the Aeronautics sector, corporate restructuring, foreign investment control in the Defense sector, and anti–money laundering. From 2014 to 2016, he worked at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Foreign Trade State Secretary. In 2016 and 2017, he also represented the French State on the Boards of Directors of Bpifrance, La Poste, and CNP Assurances.
Bertrand Walckenaer has served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Agence Française de Développement since February 2019.
