Overview
Anne Muxart holds a PhD in Law and wrote her thesis on ill-gotten gains. She lectured in law for several years in various French universities.
She subsequently joined the Directorate General of the Treasury at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, where she worked on issues related to preventing and combating bribery of foreign public officials in international trade transactions. In this context, she participated, on behalf of France, in the reviews of Luxembourg and the United Kingdom in respect to their implementation of the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials.
She joined AFD to help set up the Compliance Department, prior to becoming its Director in 2022. She had previously contributed to extending the Department’s missions beyond financial security and was in particular instrumental in the creation of a function dedicated to investigations into fraud and corruption in projects financed by the Group.
