Despite an international situation that continues to be particularly uncertain, AFD Group’s activity in the water and sanitation sector reached an unprecedented level in 2023.

With 1.8 billion euros committed, the sector accounted for 13% of AFD Group’s commitments. Proparco had notably a record level of activity with 274 million euros committed.
