Laurent Biddiscombe graduated from the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) and started his career as an Inspector at Société Générale. He subsequently held various positions within AFD’s network, including in Senegal and New Caledonia, before joining and managing the Financial Institutions team. He went on to become Deputy CEO of Banque Socredo, French Polynesia’s largest bank and a 35% subsidiary of AFD. He then returned to AFD’s headquarters as Deputy Executive Director and was responsible for issues related to the economy and sustainable finance. He is now Executive Director of the Sustainable Development Solutions (SDS) department.
