Agro-economist by training, Sandra Rulliere has worked for over 15 years in the field of rural development and natural resource management, mainly in Africa.
Overview
After conducting field studies on agrarian dynamics in Nicaragua, she worked as a technical assistant in Ghana on lowland rice cultivation before joining the AFD agency in Burkina Faso as a project officer in the agriculture, natural resource management, water and sanitation sectors. She then supported the deployment of agricultural advisory systems in Benin. After working for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the monitoring of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, she joined AFD's Agriculture, Rural Development and Biodiversity Division in 2016. She will become Deputy Head in 2021.
