Boosting the Potential of the Blue Economy in Sri Lanka: Conservation of the Shoreline, Beaches and Waves

The main objective of the « Boosting the Potential of the Blue Economy: Conservation of the Sri Lankan Shoreline, Beaches and Waves » project is to contribute to the preservation of coastal biodiversity and natural heritage, to preserve and encourage economic opportunities, and to reinforce social link.

The project

Climate, gender, vulnerabilities, education, youth, employment, health, are essential markers of the French Official Development Assistance. This call for proposals meets the French government priorities of strengthening partnerships with civil society organisations and increasing the contribution of the French official development assistance by supporting them.

 

The project will contribute in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, of which:

  • Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities;
  • Goal 12: Responsible production and consumption;
  • Goal 14: Life below water;
  • Goal 17: Partnerships for the goals.
