Food security, poverty and biodiversity: which agricultural systems for sustainable development in Mozambique
Content sécurité alimentaire biodiversité Mozambique
Faced with the growing challenges of food insecurity, rural poverty and the erosion of biodiversity, identifying sustainable agricultural models is becoming a priority. How can we reconcile agricultural productivity, the preservation of ecosystems and improved living conditions for local populations?
As part of the ECOPRONAT research program, the FARSYMABI project is exploring the agricultural systems that can meet these challenges in Mozambique. Based on field studies and socio-economic and ecological analyses, it proposes ways in which these systems can be effectively integrated into public policy.
This Research Conversation invites you to discuss :
- The key results of the FARSYMABI project and their implications for agricultural policies,
- Levers for action to promote biodiversity-friendly agriculture and development,
- Prospects for application to other contexts in sub-Saharan Africa.
