AFD in Cambodia: 30 Years of Development in Pictures
Published on

AFD Group teams have been working for 30 years to support Cambodia's development trajectory and work with their partners to build a more equitable, greener world. Through the photo lens, we look back at three decades of work and solidarity for the country's sustainable development.
AFD Group has been present in Cambodia since 1993 and supports the country's development projects with the aim of achieving impact and sustainability for the benefit of the population.
Among the initiatives supported are the ECOMORE project, in partnership with the Pasteur Institute, which is focused on the fight against dengue fever and leptospirosis and the rehabilitation of Phnom Penh's central market, an emblematic building in the Cambodian capital. Also featured is the program to develop geographical indications, notably for Kampot pepper, a prized product of the kingdom, and financial, strategic and technical support for the Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority.
Designed and implemented with numerous partners, the programs financed by AFD have helped to promote access to basic services, strengthen water resource management, adapt to climate change, strengthen human capital and develop sustainable agriculture.
To mark AFD's 30th anniversary in Cambodia, discover a series of 22 photos, currently on display on the walls of the French Embassy in Phnom Penh.
