Burundi: raising awareness against violence from an early age

In Burundi, where primary schooling has been free since 2005, the NGO Play International uses sport to combat the causes of school drop-out (gender, disability and poverty). To reintegrate and keep children in school, the organization trains a network of teachers and sports leaders in "playdagogy": a way of helping children assimilate concepts such as integration, tolerance and the fight against violence through play.
