China's Coal Methane: Actors, Structures, Strategies and their Global Impacts

Publié le

The future of international issues, such as climate change, global health, and environmental protection, increasingly depends on States’ ability – not just their willingness – to adequately implement domestic policies in line with national and international goals. There is thus a need for global governance scholars to better factor in the interplay of actors, interests and power structures that are active at the sub-national level, and how these impact the implementation of national policies with global significance.
Such a “micro” or “bottom-up” understanding of global issues should help in re-thinking international cooperation and endeavours required to support countries that are pursuing policies of global interest.
